- No Dizzy Rascal - Boo Hoo

Tis only one more sleep till I head to Sunny Byron Bay for the "Splendour in the Grass" Festival.Splendour In The Grass, Australia's premier mid-winter music event, returns for round four this year. Nestled in the lovely surrounds of Byron Bay's Belongil Fields in far northern New South Wales, Splendour In The Grass will spill across two music-filled days on Saturday, July 24, and Sunday, July 25, making it the perfect weekend musical retreat.

Now im kinda excited ...

• 1. I have never been to Byron Bay Before


• 2. This festival seems like its going to be fun

To be honest really .... I dont fancy any of the acts there .... sorry ... hang on .. its not that i dont fancy them .. I simply dont know them. Sure their are a few acts I know and have seen live before .... But really ..... Its just not my ball game.

The only one single act I was pumped to see " DIZZY RASCAL " pulled out yesterday. OKAY ... now im pissed ... the one single artist i was pumped to see has pulled out .... Really it didnt seem to be his kind of gig/festival anyways.

God give me strength this weekend ... For im going to need it.

So with out further ado... I must make an outfit out of heshan bags, wear lots of beads and eat only rice all weekend and say the terms " yer man" and " free spirit man" in a really slow speech pattern over and over and over again ....... to fit in. Okay sorry that was a bit much ...

Ohh and another thing .... To the organisers of the splendour website. Wat is the point on having a site if you choose not to update it with current relevant news about your festival... ie. Dizzy has pulled out! :(

HP has unveiled the new iPod-based HP device at the 2004 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The "HP Digital Music Player" is light blue in color, sports an "HP" logo on the back, and is "the first and only one," according to CEO Fiorina. It should be "priced competitively to other digital music players currently available." Also as part of the partnership between Apple and HP, HP PCs and notebooks will come preinstalled with iTunes and "an easy-reference desktop icon" to point consumers directly to the iTunes Music Store.

Im in the market for an ipod or maybe this device ... Although one thing about the hp-pod is that its color ..... its down rite UGLY :(

- Fahrenheit 9/11

I finally made myself watch Fahrenheit 9/11. Ive had it downloaded for the past month and last night decided to add it to my list of watching dare i say it "Shockumentaries". Shockumentaries which is a new form of documentary meant to shock you into agreeing with the director of the movie.

What can I say. Its everything the Micheal Moore hating critics have said it is. Seeing that its not released in OZ yet. Ill leave the review till then.

For all of you on high speed web access be sure to grab your own copy of the film at Suprnova. Im sure glad I didnt contribute any money to Moore.

- What a Bunch Of F**k*n Cack Sucker's

I'm not sure how many of you guys actually listen to Today FM, but last night they aired an interview with Jason Whalley of Frenzal Rhomb, about an incident that went down at the Bass In The Grass Festival in Darwin on Saturday. In their true to form, let's throw our weight around and fuck with people we don't like way, they anticipated wringing an apology from Jason for "abusing" Top Thirty host Jackie O, and showing him out to be a brainless, drugged out rock star. Well, they got a little more than they were expecting, and you can read a transcript of the interview right here on the black hole page.

In the next couple of weeks, Jason and Lindsay from Frenzal Rhomb will be taking over hosting duties of Triple J's Today Today program, a spot they'll be filling until the election. You will almost certainly be able to hear this interview played during one of their drive time shows, or on the Breakfast Program on Triple J this Friday July 16, or as an mp3 on the either the Triple J website, the Frenzal Rhomb website or there is definitely a link up now at the Bombshell website. - Electric Blanket

Apparently lots of people are frightened by electric blankets. I was not aware of this..

My house is way too cold. It's an uninsulated cottage type place with 12-foot ceilings, single-paned windows, and insufficient heat. This time of year, nighttime temperatures are low i dont know how low but they are low okay and its cold. Its not even freezing, yet I'm freezing. I curl up under six blankets and I'm still shivering.

So yesterday a good friend of mine LT gives me an electric blanket, what a nice gesture huh.. Its been in the space of 8 hours and ppl have told me how dangerous they are .... Im not so sure ... it looks safe enough to me. And by god is it good

If you search for "electric blanket" and "danger" on Google, for some reason the first batch of results is entirely from the UK. Apparently the British are very concerned about electric blanket hazards. Generally, though, the consensus seems to be that they're reasonably safe, provided they're not old or damaged.

What do you think? Is my new electric blanket going to murder me in my sleep?

Satans Laundromat would have to be my all time favourtie Photo Blog. Its not your everyday run of the mill standard photo blog which consists of pictures of grandmar Haroldene's jam scones. The imagery from Mike Epstein's work @ 666 Laundromat's is simply " F**king Bullshit Hawt !!!", What he captures in one shot most couldnt acomplish in a 1000.

Ugh that was my call to leave. Im suprisingly becoming bored. Not that thats an issue. Things just have to become simple again. Nahwahmean .... ofcourse you do !!!!

- It Was The Perfect Relationship

It lasted for 5 weeks. 5 long weeks of long intimate play. I liked it…. It liked me… It even liked my friends… My friends liked it… I thought this was it. No more of those long lonely nights twiddling my thumbs, Thinking myself into depression asking myself the same question “ When oh when will it arrive, When o When will We become one again.” And like that it arrived.

Rally Championship 2 – Xbox. As soon as I opened its box, I new I had something special. I inserted the game gently brushed the power on button and I was presented with perhaps the most perfect driving game to brace the medium. *sniffles* I not only played this game with tender love and care … I thrashed the f**ker and it loved it and I loved that it loved getting trashed. The more I gave it the more it received. The quicker my times, I progressed like no boy had progressed before. This time I new it was for real.

Night after night, Track after track, Time after time, Car after car we moved on. Shaving times down excelling thru the game till it was finished. Then it was time for dual on dual man on man. Most my friends could not play the game infact all except for one. Me and friend 1 pushed harder harder till our times were unbeatable. We had played that game over 50 solid hours in 2 weeks clocking mileage of 5,000km, Thats like driving a car from Melbourne to Cairns and some and don’t forget your sitting on a couch not a buggy car of all things

And then the inevitable happened … We new we had some skillz but were we good enough to match it on a world level… It was a tuff ask but it had to be done. This meant xbox live was a must. We played our favourite tracks…. we made friends… we made times. Me and friend 1 even made the top 200 players out of 65,000. It was only a matter of time before we cracked the the top 100. And then I would have been happy … Imagine the street cred *sniffles*

And the worse of worse happened. Our relationship was prefect up until now. Never a murmer never a fight. I arrived home from work yesterday, switched on the box and I was presented with the most gut wrenching site of my life….

It was all gone … Its been removed or it has erased it self. A possible sabotage! Perhaps!

I havnt looked at the xbox since. I don’t know where to go from here …

It WAS the perfect relationship ...

Just because a band makes it big, dosent mean they have changed. Let us refer to the dictionary to explain:

He has a job with music, so he is happy, and has not betrayed his principles.

So has he sold out? Has he betrayed his principals?

OF COURSE HE HAS NOT YOU STUPID INDIE BASTARDS.

So just because your favorite band (which of course sucks because they and you are both indie), has happend to stuble across the chance to have their music shared with more fans than ever before from all over the world..does not mean they have sold out.

Just because us "normal" and "mainstream" people also share a love for your crappy indie band, should not make them mean any less to you. Its you who has the problem. Obviously you are lacking in self esteem and some form of sence of purpose from needing to cling to a band that no one cares about to make you feel special or complete.

Whereas you should be happy for that stupid piece of crap indie band that you so admire. Shouldnt you be happy that they even get a glimmer of attention for all their work?

I mean, its more than youll ever get you indie prick.

i don't like it when i sit down at the table with you and you just talk for 5 minutes and i not get a word in. so why let that happen on the phone? just leave it at "call me"; don't waste your time anyway -- i listen to only the first 3 seconds of a voicemail to determine who it is, then i push '77' and delete the message and i'll call you and ask you what you said in the voicemail.

and do NOT fucking put a song or whatever on your voicemail; fucking please; i'll start pushing any random button to hope that i hear a 'beep' so i can start recording my message "it's such and such call me"; in the end, if i CAN'T bypass your fucking song and dance, a potentially 5 second call ended up being a 45 second call; now, i don't know about you, but i really don't like at&t that much; in fact, i REALLY don't like them; and if i have to pay MORE per month just so you can put a fucking madonna song on your greeting, i'm gonna have to feel justified in asking you to pay for drinks;

so i'll be listening to your silly greeting and maybe i'll try "1" ... which on some systems brings you to a nice beep, but on others it sends your # as an sms. on some it's #, which on other systems is to login to voicemail. it's * on some, and ignored on others; WTF;
